People have been asked to play their part in supporting the NHS ahead of this bank holiday weekend. Those living in Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset are being encouraged to choose the right healthcare option and help NHS services care for those most in need. Dr Andrew Girdher, Clinical Chair, BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “Choosing the right healthcare option not only helps people to be seen quicker and in the right environment, but it also means our busy doctors and nurses in hospital are able to focus their valuable time on the people most in need of care.

New Screens Show A&E Waiting Times At St Mary s Hospital
By Oliver Dyer
Screens showing waiting times at St Mary s Hospital are now on display outside the Newport site.
The electronic boards give an indication of the latest wait times for both the Emergency Department (A&E) and Urgent Treatment Centre.
The Isle of Wight NHS Trust says it allows people to decide whether or not to wait to be seen by a clinician at the hospital, or seek professional healthcare advice elsewhere.
