Elsmere police save infant s life
An Elsmere police officer saved an infant s life and it was all caught on camera.
Brian Evans had only been with the Elsmere Police Department for eight days when he and his partner, Alexis Day, were dispatched to a report of a three-month-old baby not breathing.
The officers arrived at the residence in less than a minute and found a mother holding an unresponsive infant in her arms.
“As soon as we arrived, we were told the child was not breathing,” said Officer Evans, in a press release. “At that point, your training kicks in.”
Milwaukee activist Khalil Coleman in custody at Milwaukee County Jail
“On February 15th I was arrested in Kenton county accused of a crime I did not commit,” Coleman said in a Facebook post.
Coleman missed a scheduled court date and as a result a warrant was issued. He was booked into Milwaukee County Jail on April 26. He said he is awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
Last summer in Milwaukee, Coleman was one of the main organizers for marches against police brutality after George Floyd was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis.

Milwaukee activist jailed after missing Kentucky court date

MILWAUKEE (AP) A Wisconsin activist against police brutality is being held in Milwaukee County Jail after missing a court date in Kentucky.
Khalil Coleman, who organized marches against police brutality in Milwaukee last year, was arrested by U.S. Marshals and is being held in jail while he awaits extradition to Kentucky, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
Coleman, 35, was arrested in February by the Elsmere Police Department in Kentucky for allegedly attempting to rob what police described as a “drug house.” Coleman has said he is “accused of a crime I did not commit.”
