This week in our WiCipedia roundup: Board diversification goal setters; Netflix releases first inclusion report; CES 2021 focuses on women in tech; and more. Diversifying boards has been a real point of tension in the tech world in recent years, yet there are companies out there that have done it and don t seem to think the excuses bear weight. CIO featured an article by Elizabeth Stock, executive director of nonprofit PDX Women in Tech (PDXWIT), to talk about the process that PDXWIT took to get from 100% white, straight, CIS board members to more than 80% BIPOC along with LGBTQ members, all in under two years. While the organization had a bit of a head start compared to more traditional tech companies as its focus is on diversity and the original board was already entirely women, Stock believes that companies have full control over their diversification efforts, and that great change can be made from the top down, particularly from CIOs. Ardyce Stock

1923-2020 Ardyce Stock, 97, of Lake View, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, at Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View, where she was a resident. Ardyce Elizabeth Stock, daughter of Rudy and Luella (Sillars) Stark, was born Oct. 4, 1923, in rural Lake View. She joined her two older siblings, Ruth and Lyle. Ardyce graduated in 1943 from Lake View High School, where she met the love of her life, Eugene Stock. While Eugene was deployed in the Army Air Corps in Europe, she attended Burroughs Business School in Des Moines, Iowa, and from there moved in 1943 to San Francisco, California, where she worked for South Pacific Standard Oil. She and five friends took the civil service tests and moved to Chicago in 1944 to work for the Treasury Department. After World War II ended, she returned to Lake View and married Eugene on April 11, 1945. They were blessed with two sons, Mitchell and Dean. They lived on the Stock Century Farm for 66 years.
