WINDSOR One point was all that separated the Thetford Academy boys track and field team from Bellows Falls at Windsor High’s Murphy-Morse Complex on Saturday. One point, though, was all it took to give the Panthers a winning margin over the Terriers to complete a sweep of the meet after the girls team ran away from the field.
Knute Linehan leaped his way to three wins for the Thetford boys, taking the top spot in long jump, triple jump and high jump. Tobin Durham added a win in the 1,500 meters in 4 minutes, 20.37 seconds. Ben Mattern won the 3,000 meters in 11:23.87 for the Panthers.

WINDSOR A potent offensive attack was more than enough for the Windsor High softball team, which routed visiting Fair Haven, 17-5, in six innings on Friday afternoon at MacLeay-Royce Field.
“The whole lineup, 1-9, did their job and contributed to the win,” Windsor coach Heather Stearns said. “I’m very happy with how aggressive we are this year. We swung the bats very aggressively, put the ball in play and made them make plays defensively.”
Adi Prior led the way for the Yellowjackets with two singles and a double. Jenna Hood had a double and a single. Paige Kleefisch had a pair of base hits. Windsor collected 11 hits as a team.

Staff Reports
CONCORD Should the Concord High boys hockey team require any references or reviews as it moves on in the NHIAA Division I state tournament, longtime Hanover coach Dick Dodds would probably be happy to help.
Dodds and his Marauders (3-10-0) saw their season come to a close on Wednesday night in a 5-1 first-round tournament loss to the Tide (13-2-0) at Everett Arena. Senior Tom Lyons scored Hanover’s only goal, and goalie Luke Ives kept busy with 35 saves.
The Marauders had the misfortune of running into Concord at both ends of its schedule. The Tide, which ended last year’s pandemic-stopped tourney as co-champions with Bedford, recorded 4-0 and 8-2 wins over Hanover to open the year and closed it in similar fashion.
