LANSING, Mich. â Do you like treasure hunts, outdoor adventures and discovering new things in your neighborhood? Well then, geocaching is for you.
The high-tech treasure hunt is one of the biggest treasure hunts in the world. The idea is to go find caches, as they re called. They re hidden anywhere, said Tom Skelton, a member of the Michigan Geocaching Organization.
Caches are containers hidden in secret locations by geocachers. There are more than 3 million hidden worldwide. You use GPS coordinates to search for caches that are hidden and waiting for you to discover. And every geocache has a terrain rating and a difficulty rating to let you know what you re getting into.

Steve Robinson was diagnosed with Parkinsonâs four years ago. Before that, he wasnât much of an athlete, and boxing wasnât a sport he would ever consider. Steve says, after his diagnosis, his priorities changed.
âIt has made me a lot more balance-oriented. It improves your coordination and balance. It also improves your movement. You tend to get stiff with Parkinsonâs disease. When I first started the class, I couldnât get my right hand above my head. Now I can. Itâs helped a lot.â
