The Samyukt Kisan Morcha has sought a law guaranteeing MSP, withdrawal of cases against farmers and building a memorial for the protesters who lost their lives during the agitation.
Even as the Centre has announced to repeal the three farm laws, the protesting farmers are in no mood to relent or call off their agitation. Digging in their heels, farmer unions have said that they will continue their agitation till the government resumes talks with them on their six demands.
The farmers’ group welcomed the PM’s decision to repeal the three laws but noted that it came as a “unilateral declaration rather than a bilateral solution”.
In the letter, the SKM also demanded withdrawal of cases against farmers and building a memorial for those who lost their lives during protests against the contentious farm laws.
