A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana has vowed to sue officials of the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, who assaulted and tortured human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, using blunt instruments to forcefully shave off his beard. Falana disclosed this while speaking to SaharaReporters on Friday, saying he will “go after persons and officials in the correctional centre in Uyo that violated his rights”.
The official of the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, who assaulted and tortured human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, using blunt instruments to forcefully shave off his beard has been identified as Eno-Obong Gideon Eyoren. SaharaReporters learnt that Eno-Obong is a member of the Ku Kloc Klan (KKK) Confraternity; he was initiated in 2003 and he has been the Chief Guard (CG) in the cult. Sources also revealed that the notorious prison warder has been arrested for unlawful possession of firearms, robberies and murder in the past.

20 indigenes of Akwa Ibom State will be sponsored for training in engineering studies at Israel to man the Vehicle Assembly Plant which will be commissioned in 2021, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel has declared.
The Governor stated this while speaking at the commissioning of Dried Bamboo to Tissue Paper Production Factory, on Saturday at Dakkada Cottage Industries Ekid Itam in Itu Local Government Area of the State.
He noted with delight that 33 indigenes of the state have been trained to operate the tissue factory, while 22 that will be trained on the Motor Assembly Plant will contribute towards the locally made vehicles in the country.
