Sad and difficult time for Longford family as fifth member of Dromard s renowned Creegan clan dies inside ten months

There was much sadness across north Longford and in Dromard on Tuesday, April 6, following the death of PJ Creegan, Crott, Moyne, the fifth member of the Creegan family to die since June 2020.
In June of last year, Seamus (Athenry) passed to his eternal reward, followed by Pat (UK) in September, Johnny (Crott) in December, Oliver (Cavan) on April 1 and PJ (Crott), five days later, completing the reunion in heaven and leaving behind hearts that are heavy with the loss of so many in such a short space of time.

P.J. was predeceased by his parents James and Katie, his sister Sarah and his brothers Eugene, Michael, Seamus, Pat, Johnny and Oliver. P.J. will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, sisters Sr. Mary Rose (Los Angeles), Sr. Kathleen (Los Angeles), Tess Crowe (London), Philomena Burke (London), Belinda Kirwin (Dublin), Helena Molphy (Dublin), Eilish Reilly (Moyne) and Jean Taafe (Legga), sisters-in-law ,brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
P.J.’s funeral cortege will leave his residence on Friday at 10.30am to arrive at St.Mary’s Church Moyne (via Dromard GFC, Legga) for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.00am, interment afterwards in Colmcille Cemetery.
