Picketing at hospitals and clinics was finally called off at about 1pm on Monday following a ruling by the Labour Appeal Court interdicting National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) members from continuing with the strike action.
The Labour Appeal Court on Monday interdicted with immediate effect the strike action started last Monday by Nehawu and its members who are employed in an essential service.
The Labour Appeal Court has interdicted any industrial action by trade union National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu), its members, or any essential service employees. The order is applicable with immediate effect.
