BOARDMAN James “Jim” A. Heydle, 59, passed peacefully on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after a monthlong illness.
He was born June 6, 1961, in Youngstown, a son of Carl A. and Patricia A. Smith Heydle Sr. He was a lifelong area resident.
Jim was a 1979 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He worked at the Holiday Bowl, was on several bowling leagues and enjoyed bowling and bowling with the pros. He also worked at Anderson’s when he was a teenager.
He enjoyed golfing, playing baseball and special memories with his family, including water skiing, snow skiing, swimming, boating and family vacations to casinos, amusement parks and the ocean.
POLAND Mary Lou Reda, 86, passed suddenly early Friday, Dec. 18, 2020.
Born in Youngstown on Aug. 15, 1934, as Mary Lou Lisko, daughter of John and Hazel Cramer Lisko. Her mother was also born in Youngstown and came from a long bloodline that fought in both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. They entered the U.S. through Philadelphia and settled in Youngstown.
Mary Lou graduated from East High School and met the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Reda, on Valentine’s Day. They were to be married at St. Columba Cathedral, but fire destroyed it in Sept. 2, 1954, when a bolt of lighting struck during a late evening storm before the couple were to wed.

YOUNGSTOWN Ms. MaryAnn Pusateri, 85, a longtime area resident, returned to God’s loving arms after passing peacefully Tuesday morning, Dec. 8, 2020, at Briarfield Manor in Austintown.
She was born in Youngstown, Nov. 24, 1935, the daughter of Dr. Samuel Pusateri and Marie Mastriana Pusateri.
Hers was a life of education and service. After attending Boardman High School and later Kent State University, where she earned a master’s in health and physical education, she taught at Cardinal Mooney High School from 1957 to 1960. She was the first girls’ physical education teacher at Mooney.
In 1960, she was called to the service of Christ and entered the Vincentian Sisters of Charity, where she remained for more than 25 years, teaching at Vincentian High School and later at Mon Valley High in Monongahela, Pa., where she also coached girls’ basketball and volleyball.
