Obituary: Dorothy Dottie Milligan of Waterbury

WATERBURY, CT - Ms. Dorothy Lee Milligan, 65 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at her home. Ms. Milligan was born September 26, 1955, in Brooklyn, NY daughter to the late James and Rosemae (Copeland) Milligan. Subscribe Dottie as she was also known as, attended various schools throughout New York, graduating in 1972. She was a hard worker and was employed by the United States Post Office for 27 years. Dottie had a passion for fashion and her outfits made her stand out and be admired wherever she went. Her vibrant personality lit up any room that she walked into. She loved music and enjoyed dancing to her favorite artists En Vogue or Earth, Wind, and Fire. You could not help but gravitate towards her amazing energy. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing softball, reading, watching horror movies, and spending time with her family and friends. We will miss her dearly.

H. Hospital on the afternoon of February 23, 1936. The county commissioners surprised many by naming Elza Evans, former Maud police chief, to succeed the late Walter Mosier as county sheriff. Evans, 43, was a native Maud resident, who made a run for the nomination of sheriff in 1936. He appeared to be one of the favorites but faded late in the campaign.
