Modernizing conservatism. Here is a brief look. In 2001, before september 11, one of the big issues that the new president faced was whether and how the federal government should fund Embryonic Stem Cell Research that involves the destruction of human embryos. At this point we have seen Small Businesses all over this country who are losing the ability to compete, who are not expanding, who are staying under 50 employees, who are not hiring and who are forcing employees to move to parttime work. According to the chamber of commerce, survey of Small Businesses, half of Small Businesses eligible for the employee mandate are either moving to parttime workers or forcing fulltime workers to go parttime. This is not a small problem. This is not a marginal problem. This is a problem all over the country. You are a he talking millions of Small Businesses.
