Bayonne photographer shows us another world through reflections Updated Mar 03, 2021; Facebook Share Instead of looking up, Barbara Beeman is looking down. The Bayonne photographer’s new photo series, “Nature’s Mirror,” was created when Beeman decided to look at the world through puddle reflections. The photo exhibit can be seen at The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit from now through April 4. A lifelong Bayonne resident, Beeman has practiced the art of photography since attending Jersey City State College, now New Jersey City University. Some of the photos in the exhibit were taken in New York City while others were taken locally in Liberty State Park, Bayonne, and Hoboken.

Community projects receive funding to reduce knife crime in Halton

Halton Youth Council and Power in Partnerships have both been awarded a £5,000 grant to help reduce knife crime PROJECTS aiming to reduce knife crime in Halton are set to be launched thanks to funding from Cheshire’s police and crime commissioner (PCC). Halton Youth Council and Power in Partnerships have both been awarded a £5,000 grant from David Keane s Safer Communities Fund. The grant awarded to Halton Youth Council will see a multi-agency project, involving Cheshire Police and other partners, install knife amnesty bins across Runcorn and Widnes. The funding will be used to purchase the bins and to promote their safe usage within schools and colleges.
