The new overtime regulation is a welcome and long overdue update,and it has broad implications for the more than 100 million workerswho do not currently receive overtime protections. Nearly 1.3million low-income, white-collar workers would become eligibleunder the new regulation. Additionally, few workers who earnbetween $23,660 and $100,000 per year would be adversely affectedby the new regulation.
