Instruments, who are then performed by the members of the cso and the civic orchestra of chicago, who ultimately perform with the girls their original musical theater piece. The performances for the other girls in the center, and all of their families, an incredibly powerful experience, telling the stories that are often untold, hidden, locked away. You can imagine the powerful emotions that fill the library of that Detention Center. Ive experienced it a couple of times as a guest. Some of those families have never heard their daughter or fp or granddaughter communicate so directly. They didnt know that she had the power to share that story, which is untold, and therefore, unknown. That hour of performance changed the lives of those girls, those families, for me, forever. My reaction was, if theyre that worried about it we should be that worried about it as well. I think focusing on the border is something thats very important. I think the economy i really do think that we need to have an immigration policy that understands and complements that promotes our commerce within the United States. We need to understand that immigrants are a very important part of our work force. I think that Legal Immigration can improve our economy can improve productivity, can result in increased jobs which will make Jobs Available for me citizens here in this country. I think there needs to be more of a focus immigration policy should be more focused on our economy, driven by our economic needs. We should have visas for skilled workers. We need in todays economy and todays security situation i think those are the two drivers of what our economic what our immigration policy should be going forward.
