Sundarbans fire doused Star Digital Report Star Digital Report The fire that broke out in Daser Bharani area of Sharankhola Range in East Sundarbans on Wednesday morning was extinguished this afternoon. Mohammed Belayet Hossain, divisional forest officer (DFO) of the East Sundarbans division, said the fire was now completely extinguished. No new fire or smoke was seen anywhere since afternoon. The fire had broken out around 10:00am on Wednesday. Talking to our Bagerhat correspondent, Joynal Abedin, assistant conservator of forests at the Sundarbans East Forest Department, said, There was intense observation from everyone today.
