The difference is that instead of battling for the best deal, the wolves will decide together whether to invest capital. So, the Wolf PAC hunts together, keeping themselves fed, so to speak. The investors include Management Decisions System Inc. founder Leonard Lodish, marketing expert Jody Chang Cody, venture capitalist Courtney Lawless, former Phillies broadcaster Leslie Gudel, and co creator Kent Griswold. Philly comedian Craig Shoemaker created the show with Griswold.

South Philly Review Contributed photo Craig Shoemaker and Kent Griswold have been teaming up for projects since they were in class together as kids, although sometimes unbeknownst to the teacher. “Kent was the smartest guy in third grade and I used to cheat off of him,” Shoemaker said with a laugh. “Then he got too smart and went to private school in seventh grade, and I had to find someone else to cheat off of.” Both ended up excelling in their respective professions and the two Philadelphia natives are teaming up on a much bigger project that will help others excel with no cheating involved.

New on Amazon Prime: Business show Wolf PAC of Philadelphia draws inspiration from Shark Tank

The series will feature Philadelphia-area business experts and investors, known as wolves, giving advice and funds to entrepreneurs seeking to grow their companies, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported. Though the show draws inspiration from Shark Tank, its concept differs sightly. After small business owners pitch their ideas, the wolves collectively decide whether to invest capital in the idea rather than battle one another for the best deal.  It s called the Wolf PAC on purpose because wolves hunt together, co-creator Kent Griswold told the Business Journal. They work together as a team. No one wolf can actually bring down prey the way the pack does. By working together they can actually keep themselves fed.
