Warning. Much of the front range, Eastern Plains running down to new mexico border this morning. A lot of us have not reached the low temperature for the day. Were in the 20s and low 30s around here now. We also have frost concerns for yuma, carson, cheyenne this morning. Upper 20s to low 30s. Well slowly warm to mid and well pop up to 50s and 60s this afternoon. By late in the afternoon, i anticipate that were going to start to see a few fair weather clouds in and around the area. As far as air quality goes, we did get a break from the wildfire spoke yesterday with the strong northerly wind that came through. Terrible crash involving a semi in superior. A 35 year old man from thorn ton was the victim. A truck tipped over on him. He was caught in the rear tires of a semi truck. He suffered massive trauma to his lower body but was conscious for a brief time after officers arrived. A medical chopper came to the scene. 128 was closed for hours in the area and cut off businesses, apartments, bloom field jail. The highway reopened just after 10 00 this morning. Colorado highway 133 is closed between hug kiss and Glenwood Springs because of a rock slide. It will be at least saturday before they can reopen the area. The slide yesterday left more than 100 tons of debris on the highway. It damaged the surface of the road way and a concrete barrier as well. Well keep you posted. Authorities want mountain after dangerous traps were found on the dirt surfer trail. The Sheriffs Office is working with other agencies to determine where the traps came from.
