The Nebraska Board of Regents presented a KUDOS Award to Harnoor Singh, Director of Student Development for the Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship Program within the University of Nebraska at Omaha s Division of Student Success, as part of its February meeting.
Harnoor joined UNO in 2015 and was asked to lead the transformation of the Student Service and Leadership Collaborative, the Maverick Food Pantry and the refreshing of the Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship Program, a premier and increasingly-renowned development program for 128 competitively-selected Nebraska high school graduates pursuing degrees in STEM fields.

SPRINGFIELD A criminal justice reform bill opposed by Madison County law enforcement officials was approved Wednesday by the Illinois House of Representatives.
Just before noon, the House voted 60-50 to approve House Bill 3563, formerly known as House Bill 163. The passage came about seven hours after the Illinois Senate, at around 4 a.m. Wednesday, approved the bill 32-23.
