He said that the gang admitted to obtaining human blood after killing an elderly man and disposing of his body near the Jaji military cantonment in the nearby Igabi Local Government Area. The suspected ritualists, who included both new and old members, were captured while initiating the new members.

A housewife Ramatu Idris of Unguwar Malam Lamu, Tankarau, Dutsen Abba Ward in Zaria Local Government Area (LGA), Kaduna State, has narrated how bandits made her a widow barely a month after her marriage with late Yusuf Suleiman.
Mrs Idris told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Thursday that the incident happened on February 4, around 12.45 p.m., 28 days after her wedding to Suleiman.
“There were about seven of them (bandits). They forced themselves into our home holding guns and a stick.

Local vigilantes have rescued five persons abducted by bandits from Ungwan Makada in Dutsen Abba Ward, Zaria local government area of Kaduna state.
Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, said the armed bandits stormed the village and attacked the residence of Abdulazeez Sani, a Local Government Council member, and abducted his wife Samira Abdulazeez, two children Aliyu and Lawal Abdulazeez, and another woman, Halima M. Sani and her son.
He said the bandits also stole four motorcycles from the village.
“As the bandits made away with the hostages, they were intercepted by local vigilante members at Ungwan Mai Turmi village in Igabi local government area.”
