Icy Blue Scooter came after the leader on the way to the mid-way point, and they battled through a savage third quarter clocked in :26.4. The three-quarter marker flashed up in 1:24.4, and from there Hoerdt’s Armycaptin Hanover kicked home in :28 to win by a head over Icy Blue Scooter in 1:52.4. Third prize went to Tiempo Hanover.
