Idaho State Police report on fatal car crashes over the weekend, including a juvenile's death in Canyon County and injuries requiring hospitalization. The accidents underscore the importance of safe driving practices on state highways.
A dump truck hauling wood chips on Bivens Hill Road overturned on Wednesday. Upon crashing, the truck caused a utility pole to break earlier during the afternoon hours.
The accident occurred on Bivens Hill Road near Wilson Hill Road around 4 PM. Rutherford County Deputy Shaun Matthews said DTC utility crews began replacing the utility pole right at 4 and had to reduce the flow of traffic to one lane.
There is no word on any injuries caused in the accident on Wednesday.

The construction worker that was killed in the accident was working by the Pembroke exit overnight. As of this morning, the right lane of the 90 West is still closed for investigation of the accident.
