Witnesses described several men ran through here, exchanging gunfire as children were playing on this popular playground. This is a place where you should have a happy face, not be shielding children from bullets. Reporter the Columbia Rec Center playground was happy until children and parents heard what they first othought were fireworks. Then this mother, who didnt want to be identified, came to a terrifying realization. I think two or three young men, and i saw a gun, which is when i realized it was not fireworks.
