Man found in Drift Reservoir Cornwall named by police: Edward Hinds

1/1 Police have now identified the man whose death has led to a murder investigation being launched in West Cornwall. Officers were called to Drift Reservoir near Penzance at 4pm on Thursday (February 18) following reports that a body had been seen in the water. Emergency services attended the scene and recovered the body of a man. CPR was carried out by police and the ambulance service, and the man was found to have sustained a suspected stab wound to his chest. He has now been formally identified as 37-year-old Edward Hinds, was confirmed deceased at the scene. Police said Mr Hinds was originally from the Midlands area but had been living in the Lelant area for the last few weeks.

The victim, named by police as Edward Hinds, was confirmed dead at the scene despite efforts by the police to revive him with CPR. Mr Hinds was originally from the Midlands but had been living in the Lelant area for the last few weeks, police said tonight.  When emergency crews started CPR they discovered the wound to his chest.
