PLEASANTON – A Pleasanton nonprofit that promotes shared community values and goodwill will this year present an award to a Livermore woman who started a Dress a Girl Around the
“The mission is simple,” one volunteer said. “It's just to make little sundresses to provide a little bit of dignity and joy to these little girls to say, ‘Somebody in this world loves you and made this dress just for you.’"
Since she started volunteering with Dress A Girl Around the World in 2017, Judy Donley and the volunteers in her group have sewn more than 5,000 dresses for girls in poverty-stricken areas around the globe.
