Losses mount at Ted Baker Revenues for the financial year 2020 almost halved at high street retailer Ted Baker, while losses before tax increased by 39% year on year. Revenue at Ted Baker fell 44.2% to £352m in the 53 weeks to 30 January 2021. The business made an underlying loss before tax of £59.2m, down from an underlying profit of £4.8m in its 2019 financial year, ending ending 25 January 2020. It made a loss before tax of £107.7m, falling by 39% compared to 2019. The company stated that including an extra week allowed for a 2% increase in sales. Retail sales including ecommerce were down 42.2% (42.1% in constant currency) to £254.3m, compared to the prior year.
