Upset as laughing gas canisters and empty alcohol bottles dumped and bonfires started at Downley community orchard
Downley Community Orchard has been blighted by bad behaviour Dangerous ‘laughing gas’ canisters, cigarette papers and glass bottles have been littered all over a community orchard that has seen a huge increase in bad behaviour during lockdown. The Downley Community Orchard has suffered serious issues recently, with empty drink cans, bottles of spirits and other debris discarded at the site – while a notice board was destroyed and a heritage pear tree pushed over and killed. Groups have apparently been congregating at the once-peaceful community orchard during lockdown while pubs and other places have been forced to shut.
A CAMPAIGN for a new GP surgery to satisfy an ‘unmet need’ in Wycombe has been revived – but the location remains a mystery. A petition to ensure that a “new health centre and doctors surgery” gets the go-ahead in Downley and Disraeli wards is gaining interest – but organisers are keeping precise details of the preferred site close to their chests.
