wake-up to this morning. good morning, welcome to fox 45 morning news. it s tuesday, may 20th. i m megan gilliland. patrice harris has the morning off, but steve fertig is here let us know about the weather. it s going to be a beautiful day. we re looking at a pleasant 81 for the high today. i like it. a lot of sun. take a look at where we start right now. you will see that we have temperatures in the 50s. the same place we started yesterday. 52 in salisbury and 52 at hagerstown. we have a little bit of drizzle to the north but that is dissipating at high pressure. high pressure is going to build in where low pressure was. it s going to say with us for today and tomorrow. the next system comes in into sunday. here is the way things shape up over the next few days, sunny and warmer today and tomorrow. cooler but mild over the weekend and the 70s then. and then a couple of thunderstorms as we head into the weekend. all right. let s see what is happening on the roadway
she is here with the traffic edge. candace, good morning. reporter: good morning, we have excellent news as far as the roadways are concerned. we are checking on 95 at mountain road. you can see the cars are zipping along both the northbound and southbound lanes all the way down toward the beltway. and 95 looks good all the way through baltimore as well from the fort mchenry tunnel toward the beltway there, looking at an 8-minute drive, right now 55 miles per hour. speaking of the beltway, it s going to be in the green, 95 up toward 831 83, 11 minutes at 54 miles per hour. the same speed with an 11-minute drive toward 795. no complaints from 795, 11 minutes, 55 miles per hour. that s a look at the morning travels, megan, back over to you. 5:31 on fox 45 early edition. a firefighter yells out may day and two city firefighters end up in the hospital after putting out the flames near patterson park. joel d smith is live there with one firefighter fell through the roof. good
