Port Huron officials received an update from a consulting firm Monday regarding future development in the South Park neighborhood. Nate Geinzer is founder and CEO of Double Haul Solutions and tells WPHM it was the announcement of a new condo project that sparked the latest round of community engagement. "When you're looking at something like a neighborhood improvement authority, typically those are funded through what's called tax increment financing,' said Geinzer. "The condo project is the first big investment in this area that could be used to bolster a new tax increment finance authority.
