On April 12 the Rockport Select Board heard a presentation by Bill Lane of Gartley & Dorsky Engineers of a proposed 28-space parking lot that would be built above Rockport Harbor, near the Goose River Bridge and the meeting point of Main and Central streets. The board also heard a presentation of the proposed SAD 28 (Camden-Rockport K-8) and Five Town CSD (Camden Hills Regional High School) budgets by Superintendent Maria Libby.

Draft short-term rental ordinance
According to the Town Manager’s memo to the Select Board, the draft ordinance governing short-term rentals in town is under review by the town attorney.
According to the Town Manager’s memo to the Select Board, the draft ordinance governing short-term rentals in town is under review by the town attorney.
“On November 16, the Town posted on its website the second working draft of the ordinance and asked for comments from the public and issued a press release with that information and request,” wrote Town Manager Bill Post, in his Dec. 14 meeting packet memo. “Several comments have been received and forwarded the Select Board members. These comments also have been compiled into one document and published on the Town’s website. These comments are being reviewed and considered as the draft ordinance continues to be revised.”
