advertising piano lessons for young children. good evening. i m doreen gentzler. i m jim vance. 58-year-old charles dillon was arrested yesterday. police say he set up a website called piano dreams studio. he failed to notify authorities about that. jane watrel is in springfield with more. reporter: it was a citizen s call that led to the arrest. it was a call to a fairfax county detective. under virginia law registered sex offenders must register every move they make on the internet. this youtube video shows charles dwayne dillon playing a favorite song. the registered sex offender also gives piano lessons out of his fairfax county home to children ages 4 on up, which he outlines in great detail on his website, piano dream studio.com. the trouble is dillon never told state and local authorities about his internet business venture and was arrested tuesday for failing to do so. virginia code requires that anyone who has such registered has to notify authorities within 30
thank you for joining us. first tonight, a recipe for chaos. the firm that provides security for dc public schools has folded. all day today, there were no security guards to protect students and staff. one school went so far as to call in the d.c. military reserve to stand guard at a football guard. we have team coverage starting with surae chinn. reporter: the show of full force was off the field. a big difference. we got security here for this evening s game. reporter: a major difference from when we interviewed the assistant coach. usually how many guards are there? about 15. reporter: how many are there now? none. reporter: are you real concerned? yes. i didn t even let my own child go to school for his own safety. reporter: because hawk one security folded thursday, leaving employees out of a job and 300 jobs out of schools. but by nightfall, it steamed like the high school got seemed like high school got organized where a dozen metropolitan polic
are telling us that 80% of d.c. schools will lose two teachers or less. 60% will lose one or no teachers but a dozen schools will lose five or more teachers. they are not telling us which particular schools are losing how many teachers although we are told that the high schools in the district where enrollment is lower, they will lose more staff because of that. i had an opportunity to speak to michelle rhee and i asked her, will there be any more layoffs? i hope not. you never know what the fiscal situation will be like moving forward. the mayor has prioritized trying to touch schools last. so, i have a tremendous amount of faith that the mayor will, moving forward, try to ensure that he can protect the school s budget. reporter: what happened here this afternoon according to the young students we have been speaking to, when the students who teachers laid off were escorted from the building, a lot of the students got upset. they say some of the teachers, quite a few lo
