MOREHEAD, Ky. (LEX 18) â The body of Jill Clayton, who has been missing for over two weeks now, was found Friday evening in Morehead.
Detective Donny Hall with the Rowan County Sheriff s Office confirmed the news to LEX 18.
An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday to find a cause of death. As of Friday evening, no charges been filed.
Clayton s body was found at an area near Wolf Hollow Road after approximately 40 community members gathered on Friday to help on the search.

MOREHEAD, Ky. (LEX 18) â The autopsy of Jill Clayton, who was found dead Friday evening in Morehead, has revealed that she died by a single gunshot wound.
Detective Donny Hall with the Rowan County Sheriff s Office confirmed the news to LEX 18.
Clayton s boyfriend, Gary Jeffries, has been charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, and evidence tampering.

MOREHEAD, Ky. (LEX 18) â On day 15 of the search for Jill Clayton, detectives from the Rowan County Sheriffâs Office asked for the public to get involved. The plan worked, as approximately 40 members of the community arrived at 9 a.m. to begin scouring the area near Claytonâs home.
âIâve known Jill since we were kids, and we havenât remained great friends recently or anything like that, but this is personal, said Detective Donny Hall, who is leading this investigation. And I think thatâs the reason for such a good turnout today.
