More Details in Arrest of Hickory Man on Sex Offense Charges

More details have been released in the arrest of 32-year-old Maynor Javier Yanez-Basquez of 22nd Avenue N.E. in Hickory. As previously reported by WHKY, he was arrested by Hickory Police Monday (January 18) on charges of statutory sexual offense with a child 15-years-old or younger, kidnapping, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Yanez-Basquez was taken into custody without incident as Hickory Police assisted The Rowan Co. Sheriff’s Office in locating a runaway juvenile who was in the City of Hickory. He was arrested just before 4 a.m. Monday at his residence.
