They hope to show their solidarity with survivors of sexual assault. Good evening. Im eric thomas. Students are angry with the six month sentence of stanford swimmer brock turner. They hope the protest will bring attention to rape culture. We have a preview. Reporter eric, this is where the graduates will be lining up for tems procession. It will be a day of celebration that for many will also be a day of protest. Stanford protects rapist, rape culture has deep roots. Just a couple of signs that protesters will be carrying during the commencement procession known as the whacky walk, a display of fun that will be taking on a some better meaning tomorrow. Finals, maybe game six or seven but the combination of unfortunately the leukemia and the chemotherapy left him too weak, and unfortunately we have this outcome that we we knew was coming but i was overwhelmed when i got the nose. He was wonderful man and you had the privilege of hanging out with us on saturday nights and wed watch games together. Anybody that nate met fell in love with him. Never a bad word about anybody at any point and everybody just adored him. A true gentleman, and his face would just light up when you wanted to talk basketball. Spent a lot of time offcamera together as well. Tell us a Nate Thurmond story. Ill just give you one story that tells tells you what is ine mans heart and the kind of individual he was. We talk about a week ago and nate was making these phone calls and calling his friends, basically, saying, thank you, and we were on the phone and he said, you know, map, we had a good run together, and i was like, past tense. Larry join us now to talk about this friend, nate. I know nates illness kept hmm from working the find but he wented to do the show despite how sick he was. We were all hoping throughout the playoffs that somehow, some way nate would be able to come back. He loved to game so much and we talked basketball. It seemed like all the time we were talking about the warriors and this great season, and i would say with springtime when the diagnosis came in, leukemia, and nate had been faced with a number of Serious Health challenges in recent years itch thought he would beat it. He kept saying, save my seat for the finals.
