Tipperary GAA saddened by death of Tom McLoughney March 06, 2021 Tom McLoughney (RIP). Tipperary GAA has been saddened by the death of one of its former hurling stars, Tom McLoughney. Lining out in the full-forward line, the Kilruane MacDonaghs clubman won back-to-back All-Ireland SHC titles with the county in 1961 and 1962, having made his league debut in 1959. In addition, Tom claimed three Munster SHC medals in 1960, 61 and 62, two National Leagues, 1959/60 and 60/61, coming on as a substitute in the 62/63 Home Final against eventual winners Waterford and added two Oireachtas trophies to his list. He was also a selector with the Tipperary seniors in 1980.
