JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The annual Polar Pig event was a success according to event organizers.
Adjusted for COVID-19, the annual event instead has participants sit on a motorcycle while ice water was poured over them. The challenge had individuals timed for how long they could hold themselves under the freezing water. Those who participated represented different organizations and collected money for the event, which raises money for the Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice and Cancer Center.
Event Co-founder Don Wegner says the event was changed for COVID-19 to an ice bucket challenge, but continues to raise money for their causes.
