What came up during the evacuation of that yellow line train and other factors that made things worse last week. First, the ventilation system. Train operators will be able to shut off the ventilation system on their own without having to go through central command. Last week ventilation fans drew smoke inside the cars making it difficult for the people inside to breathe. There would be smoke detectors checked at tunnels and stations across the metro system. For First Responders new signs to open the emergency doors from outside the train. There are already those signs inside the train telling riders how to get out in case of emergency.
