the analysts in this case. you may remember some of her theories. several hosts put her on the air and privately commission raised around the same time this she was actually, quote, a complete nut, unbelievable offensive, as carlson put it. fox viewers believe it because the people on your screen here were peddling it to them. laura ingraham replies with a kind of a question about powell s claims that she didn t push rigorously on air. carlson replies she lied. they re caught in this deceit. the other thing weakening fox s case, murdoch said he never believed votes were destroyed. that s that algorithm conspiracy theory. and murdoch states the election was not stolen.
i think we re at the point where courts are on the line policing just the basic facts needed for this to exist. we ve seen it in the alex joan case, in dominion, with the sanctions brought against lawyers bringing frivolous claims. and that s really not a good place to be because not everyone is going to be able to challenge. people don t have the pockets to challenge these lies. so it s really going to be important in this case to increase the cost of lying by news anchors, by lawyers, by anyone else that exact a very terrible price on our democracy. yeah, you mentioned the cost. lying in a legal sense is the libel or defamation. hard to prove but this is a strong case. that s one of the so-called costs. you get to say it. the government is not involved in stopping those broadcasts. there may be accountability.
remedy say all the claims they were making were false. that s part of how you correct for defamation and they might be terrified for doing that because we and it s the audience that is running the show. and it s striking. you re talking about whether they keep that bubble hermetically sealed or not. it just gotten so hot on the case. we ll see whether settlement negotiations change or an open public trial, thanks to both of you. coming up later, we look at whether the pressure is getting to desantis when you have so many different attacks from the floor of the longier. meanwhile, blowback to speaker mccarthy as we follow this fox story. we have former senator al

texts. well, that s the evidence part, right? on the other hand it s like trump tweeting. sometimes we learn from it. we mostly talked to journalists and lawyers tonight. in the senate, do you think the party gets it and is dealing with the political threat of fox, which has allied with the gop completely and as a propaganda machine? we learned murdoch was sort of leaking against business rules even proprietary information to the trump campaign to help him, including ad buys. do you think the party is where it needs to be or would you counsel something different? oh, they re not where they need to be. they re all divided on this. they re all confused. i don t know how this actually shakes out. i really don t. i do think that fox will lose this case. i think this is a slam dunk case. but i think what you just saw where you showed the different
