Today is Presidents Day. I noted in checking through my past posts that my assigned date last year fell also on Presidents Day. In 2020, I wrote about presidential trivia. So rather than repeat, I’ll mention it briefly and move on. The federal holiday began as a commemoration of George Washington’s birthday, February 22, but now we celebrate on the third Monday in the month. The holiday takes place during the birth month of the country’s two most prominent presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, and honors both, as well as other presidents. The holiday now never lands on a single president’s birthday.

The Giving Tree program at Rimrock Mall is an annual program where the mall partners with local organizations and provides an avenue for mall customers and mall patrons to aid in the organizations mission.
This year, the mall hosted Family Promise of Yellowstone Valley, Pooch z B&B, A Forever Home, and Yellowstone Valley Boys and Girls Ranch. Each of these organizations has a holiday tree located in different locations of the mall.
Organizations decorate the trees with ornaments that have a specific item that a kid, family and even senior dog will need this holiday.
so why spend our time on the ones that don t. and what this secretary of education, who should care about education, is doing, says let s pull money from educating to buy mill to buy all these weapons to throw at teachers who don t want them. listen, my daughter died in school. i still have a son in school. this so enrages me, and what this does is this makes for certain, this november election is critical. and everyone should go to this election making the issue of gun safety in this country the number one issue that they vote on. they should make it an orange wave in november, because it is the number one issue they ll be voting on. this administration is trying to while trump throws out a new tweet every hour, i call it the trump dog biscuit, they are doing real policy things that are impacting people, and not in a positive way. fred, thanks again for being with us.
