have no predictive capacity. it s just what s happening that day. where you are with voters is the stuff that matters. it s a check-in. politicians can get arrogant. they can misread a situation. so they re incredibly important just to make sure that when the things that really matter to voters that you re in the right place and there s no surprises. that s the other thing. it s a touchstone. it s a way of understanding where you are and a very complicated changing information environment. one of the things i do see is that the disapproval polls. joe biden has a disapproval number that s a bad disapproval. but it doesn t necessarily mean that person who disapproves of job performance this week or this month isn t going to vote for that candidate. right. i think the disapproval number, which historically has been an important number, has become much less important in recent years. there s something more powerful
infrastructure week. [laughter] four years of infrastructure week, but it failed. he failed. on mount watch, the state of infrastructure week america is having s infrastructure decade. decade. in the supposed persecution of the leader donald trump. so i think trump has something to be worried about. in the end jack smith the special counsel got everything that he wanted from the court because the whole speech or debate clause pence was trying to invoke, yeah, that doesn t stop him from testifying about what trump told him before and around the time of january 6. that is going to be powerful testimony. five to seven hours, that will be a lot of good stuff. all right. dave aronberg, so nice to see you. have a great weekend. quick hits across america. one of four inmates who escaped a mississippi jail has been captured. jerry raynes was arrested in texas one day after the body of dylan arrington was pulled from a burnt home following a two hour standoff with police. a manhunt is under way for the remaining two escaped inmates. and a trail derailment in wisconsin has injured at least four people and sent two containers into the in.
purposes, donald trump has yet to step foot into a courtroom, but this case has really already been adjudicated in the eyes of the public here. so in terms of the processing and the logistics of what s going to happen as this case proceeds through the legal system, i think that we ve heard he will surrender, he will not likely be handcuffed, he will go through the typical booking process of draft photographs and fingerprints that any corral defendant has to face. criminal defendant has to face. at the end of the day, there s a really big question about so what because even if he is convicted, which i think is a really big if, that doesn t stop him from running for president, from holding office of president, and i think this is a really big risk on the part of the manhattan d.a. s office at the end of the day regardless of what turns out on the legal side. neil: it s a 30-plus-count indictment, so is there something in there maybe we just don t fathom or might be surprised to discove
