Facebook Share CLEVELAND, Ohio Today, the Ohio Department of Agriculture issued a health alert for several food items sold from a local gas station on Cleveland’s west side. After a routine inspection conducted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Division, a health alert was issued for the Pop-n-Place Shell Gas Station located on Memphis Avenue. The gas station has been accused of misbranding food items leading to possible “undeclared allergens,” according to a recent press release.

Liao Hui-lin (廖慧琳), who heads the FDA s Division of Food Safety, said the 23 Taiwanese companies gained approval from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) on Nov. 29. Prior to 2018, international seafood suppliers were able to access the Saudi market without requiring government approval, but that changed after the country introduced new food safety regulations that applied to imported products, Liao said.
