Will hit snow with gusts of 50 miles an hour. Already a few inches of snow fallen at north star. Snowing there since sunrise. Another four inches is expected overnight. We will get more rain out of the monday night storm and have all of the details when we cover weather in a few minutes. Despite todays rain, Governor Brown is challenging all californians to change their behavior when it comes to water use. The governor says it has to happen to make it through a drought of this magnitude. Brown ordered an unprecedented mandatory 25 water cuts across the board. If people do not conserve the Water Districts can enforce the cuts. Each Water District that delivers waters water to homes and businesses they care teout. We have a state water board that oversees the relationship with all of the local districts. Hundreds of them. And, so, if they dont comply they will get fined, 500 a day. Melissa president obama coming out swinging and critics of his nuclear deal with iran. That includes members of congress, who are pushing to have a say on the agreement. Speaking to the new york times, president obama made it clear that he is not looking for congressional approval. President obama i dont want to set precedents that suggest that every time a president enters into one of these agreements that Congress Gets an upordown vote. My hope is that we can find something that allows congress to express itself but does not encroach on traditional president ial prerogatives. Bob corker is moving ahead with the bill that would require a mandatory review by congress, setting up a crucial vote early next week. The fact is that congress has a rightful role to play in this. Weve already played a positive role in this. Going in this in detail making sure the questions are answered, is appropriate for us to do. That doesnt mean there wont be a deal. Memories that bay area sports fans are always remember. Reporter the place of baseball is very different than football but lon simmons did both for many area teams. Universally everybody commented, what a nice guy lon simmons was on and off the field. 12 back, 12 back. Good you can tell it goodbye. Reporter lon simmons had a trademark cal and a voice for radio. Today the sports world is telling simmons goodbye with tweets and fond memories of 98 yearold football hall of fame announcers. I think i have the best voice ive heard.
