The governor says it has to happen to make it through a drought of this magnitude. Brown ordered an unprecedented mandatory 25 water cuts across the board. If people do not conserve the Water Districts can enforce the cuts. Each Water District that delivers waters water to homes and businesses they care teout. We have a state water board that oversees the relationship with all of the local districts. Hundreds of them. And, so, if they dont comply they will get fined, 500 a day. The districts can go to court and get a cease and assist order. The restriction order does not include farmers. They have been declined federal water and they are leaving hundreds of acres dry. Water is running out. Wells supplying water to 70 homes in Eastern Valley are about dry. The community between downville and dublin used to have a way to get water. That source has gone dry for them, too. Reporter in rural valley, lance fox feels at home. Yes we enjoy it very much. But his slice of heaven is beginning to fell more like hell. Dry and scary.
