375 FIRs registered, 476 persons booked during lockdown: SSP

JAMMU, May 27: Three hundred seventy five FIRs have been registered and 476 persons were arrested till day in Jammu district in wake of second wave of COVID pandemic.
This was disclosed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Chandan Kohli while interacting with the EXCELSIOR.
“375 FIRs were registered and 476 persons were arrested since authorities imposed lockdown in Jammu district in wake of second wave of Coronavirus”, SSP said and also informed that 4635 people were challaned and fine to the tune of Rs 20,85,000 was recovered from the violators of the Corona Curfew.
SSP added that the policemen standing on the ground are facilitating the movement of the health workers, people in need of health services and other essential purposes.
