Crews in antioch are responding to two brushfires, one of them thats burned about 20 acres of open space off slatten ranch road near the antioch b. A. R. T. Station, another a couple miles to the west near the marina. Its burned about five acres. We just spoke to con fire and they said its a little windy out there. Lets take a closer look where these fires are burning. So far it is just vegetation, no homes or buildings threatened and no word of any impact to b. A. R. T. , but were keeping an eye on this. Lets get straight to meteorologist darren peck with more on the wind conditions in that area. Thats a notoriously tricky part of the bay for wind. Reporter on a night where we should be celebrating the graduates here at skyline high school, we are here about a shooting with the multiple shots fired now there is an active crime scene still here tonight but in just the last 10 minutes, several police cars left the scene and there are only a few left at this hour. No Oakland Police say this all started around 7 45 tonight. Notable shots were fired and multiple people were injured. Opd confirming there are two victims, both adults, one female and one male. We do not know if they were students or how they were connected to skyline. Police say this stemmed from a dispute at the graduation. Walking around and taking
Ktvu is christian. Captain joins us live tonight with new information from the scene. Christian yeah. In the last hour weve received a lot of new information about this, that this all started with a report of a man with a rifle that officers responded with less lethal means to take that suspect into custody. Now, we do have video of what the scene has looked like this afternoon. San Francisco Police telling us that this all started at around 310 this afternoon, when they say they received word of a man with a rifle here in the bayview neighborhood. Officers arrived on scene, and officers at this point arent offering a lot of details about exactly what happened with that initial interaction between that man who was reported to have had a rifle, and officers who first responded on scene. What police are telling us is that at least one officer used what theyre calling less lethal means to subdue that suspect. It appears that may have been some kind of non lethal round, like a rubber bulle
