“People in the area, they’ve struggled because of the economic changes related to COVID, the isolation, even some of the food supply,” said Vann Ellison, president and CEO of St. Matthew’s House. “Everybody can make a difference.”
Lopez said she plans to keep the fridge for as long as she can even after the holidays.
“Anybody can come and eat, we don’t want anybody to be hungry,” said Lopez. “We’ve been fortunate enough to have food on our table, we want to make sure everybody else does too.”
