Disrupting a Tree Lighting ceremony in city hall to protest what they call injustice in society. These protests were fueled by a new york city grand jurys decision not to indict an nypd Police Officer in the choke hold death of a black man. That is sparking hours of demonstrations in new york city and well have more on that situation in new york in just a moment. But we will start here in philadelphia. Todays protests formed at 30th street station with demonstrators blocking traffic as they marched on city hall. Todd quinones takes us through what happened tonight. Todd. Breaking news at 10 oclock. A suspect is shot dead by a delaware state trooper. Tonight what led up to that policeinvolved shooting. The investigation is ongoing right now in new castle county, delaware. Im chris may. Im jessica dean. It a happened this evening on harvey road and garfield avenue in claymont. Thats where Eyewitness News reporter Todd Quinones joins us live with the latest. Todd. Reporter jessica, late this evening authorities have identified the man who was shot and killed as 41yearold William Mcnulty of clayton. The shooting happened right in the middle of a busy residential neighborhood. Police were reportedly chasing this car in claymont early friday evening. The car crashed right here on harvey road. A delaware state trooper shot an adult male suspect. Investigators have been combing over the scene. The male suspect was rushed to christiana hospital. The shooting happened after 4 00 friday evening. Again 41yearold William Mcnulty of claymont was pronounced dead. No

Developing story from west philadelphia. A man was shot and killed inside a barber shop. But tonight police say the shooter may have done the right thing. This is all happening inside the barber shop on north preston street. Randy gyllenhaal joins us live from the district where the police are questioning the shooter. Officials say it looks like he was trying to protect the people inside . Reporter they say he may have saved a number of lives inside this barber shop. The man turned himself in here at the 16th District Police headquarters. Police are investigating whether this was a case of selfdefense. It start just before 3 00 this afternoon inside a barber shop in west philadelphia.
