Torbaaz review: Stumped by weak storytelling saharasamay.com - get the latest breaking news, showbiz & celebrity photos, sport news & rumours, viral videos and top stories from saharasamay.com Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday newspapers.
BY VINAYAK CHAKRAVORTY
Torbaaz talks of war and terror, and the toll such things may take on children. The film fuses the idea with the power of sports in this case, cricket to unite and heal. Over the past two decades or so, these themes have often scored big for Bollywood. Yet, Torbaaz struggles to hold attention.
It could be because the film comes two decades too late. And it doesn’t help that the effort is sloppy in creation and execution. In a crowded OTT home page where the problem of plenty leaves you spoilt for choice, Torbaaz comes across as a product with no USP.

Torbaaz Movie Rating
Terrorism has spread its deadly effect all over the world. And one of the tactics used by terrorists to unleash fear and bloodshed is suicide bombing. According to a report, as of mid-2015, about three-quarters of all suicide attacks occurred in just three countries – Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, 1059 such attacks have taken place until mid-2015 with many of these attacks carried by child suicide bombers. Sanjay Dutt-starrer TORBAAZ focuses on this burning issue and it’s something that we haven’t seen in Bollywood films. So does TORBAAZ manage to thrill and entertain the audiences? Or does it fail to impress? Let’s analyse.
