The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved an extension of the government’s flagship Digital India scheme with an outlay of Rs 14,903 crore for five years, starting FY2021-22 to FY2025-26.
Under this scheme, loans up to Rs 1 lakh will be provided at 5 per cent interest rate with liberal terms, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said. The scheme has a financial outlay of Rs 13,000 crore.
