shutting down part stations isn t quite so anonymous tonight. today san francisco police went public with a list of names and charges facing 35 of the people they arrested monday for disrupting the commute. you can see they came from all over the bay area as well as los angeles, reno, even portland. lee ann has more. reporter: among those arrested monday night at civic center bart station was this woman. defense attorney in the 2002 diane whipple dog mauling trial. immediately accosted by a man in riot gear who said you are demonstrating. and i said i m expressing my freedom of speech. i m exercising my right to associate. make bart safe. i was immediately arrested. reporter: she says she was charged with trespassing on a railway. most of the protestors marched up and down market street for hours. and were eventually arrested for blocking the street. chief says police will not be so patient next time. in a statement he said while the demonstrators have the right to protes
pipeline explosion. anne makovec is in san bruno where dozens of people are suing pg&e. good morning to you. reporter: good morning. the legal wrangling will be continuing today but look at this. this is something we found here in the neighborhood in san bruno that was destroyed by the blast. a little sign of hope, a little humanity here. apparently the property owner s kids, took it upon themselves to put this little tree up so there is something in this neighborhood that reminds people of happy things. but in the meantime, as we mentioned, all of that legal stuff, a lot to work out today. lawsuits involving the loss of homes here and the emotional and physical damage for those who used to those. attorneys for pg&e and those representing more than 100 san bruno residents will plan court proceedings including the timeline. the examiner is reporting those lawyers are expecting to decide to meet with the judge who was assigned to the lawsuit. almost all the suits are accusing
on the bay bridge are facing traffic tickets this morning. terry mcsweeney is live at the bridge toll plaza and, terry, you mentioned these people did everything right and they re still being punished. yeah. you do everything right and things turn out wrong. out here that morning, that detour you re talking about was not only authorized, it was required by the chp and people went along with it to find out they re slapped with a $36 fine. take a look at the video from that morning to jog your memory what happened. the chp was turning drivers around just past the toll plaza, and fas trak which records all vehicles recorded some of them as toll cheats and sent out a ticket for 36 bucks. that turn-around happened because valentino of antioch had parked his vehicle on the upper deck. he said he had a bomb. he had his daughter with him. nobody was hurt in the entire ordeal. he was talked down and traffic resumed later. he s charged with felony kidnapping and making a false bomb t
